Mireu Martial Arts  Taekwondo Program

The Mireu Martial Arts Taekwondo program has written and video content to help you practice and learn outside of class. 

 

Practicing regularly will help you meet all expectations during Promotion Testing.

MIREU TAEKWONDO PARENTS

Please review the Parent Expectations Page to help your child succeed in their martial arts journey!

TAEKWONDO

Tae means “to kick or smash with the feet”
Kwon refers to “punching or destroying with the hand or fist”

Do means “the way” or “the method.” 

WHITE BELT HOME RULES

  1. Children will respect parents and family members at all times.

  2. Children will greet their parents when they enter the house and say goodbye when they leave.

WHITE BELT DOJANG RULES

  1. Bow to the flags upon entering and exiting the dojang.

  2. When entering the dojang bow to your instructor and all senior belts.

KOREAN FLAG

ITF WHITE BELT FORM: CHON JI

Chon Ji means literally “Heaven and Earth”, and is in the Orient interpreted as the creation of the world and the beginning of human history. Therefore it is the initial pattern learned by the beginner. Their pattern consists of two parts – one to represent Heaven, the other, the Earth.
